Observation Opportunity
City Telescope Night/ Art Expose: Friday May 22
This event is conducted if clear skies prevail from 7:30-9:30 PM
Hear from our Artists inside @ 7:45 PM Rain or Shine!
Join us for a night under the stars. Rittenhouse Astronomical Society returns to Columbus Recreation park with telescopes to share the view! Moongazing will be in order as we are at First Quarter Moon. Jupiter is also nicely placed for telescope views. If skies are clear we can see out to our galactic halo and observe a globular cluster almost 33 thousand light years distant. A variety of colorful double stars are easily seen from city skies.
Inside the Recreation center, Space Themed art work will be on display. At 7:45 hear from the Artists and what inspired them inside the recreation center classroom.
